Madness Combat is one of the most popular flash series of all time. Its simple yet iconic art style, creative choreography and kills, and memorable setpieces have propelled it into stardom. Practically everybody on Newgrounds at least knows of it in passing, and it's so popular that it has its own official holiday on Newgrounds. A ton of games related to the franchise have been created over the years, yet one of the few official ones supported by the main creator is Madness Accelerant.

This game is a scene by scene recreation of Madness Combat 6, which is where Hank is constantly being chased by the giant demonic form of Tricky the Clown. The gameplay is pretty straightforward. You press A and D to move left and right, W to jump and double jump, and mouse to aim. You can also choose to use arrow keys to move and aim instead. You punch when you don't have a gun, and fire your gun when you do.
The gameplay revolves around boss fights and the occasional mob fights. Tricky is the main boss fight, and has thousands upon thousands of health points. It might seem difficult to kill him, but the game is coded to have a minion spawn whenever you run out of ammo on a weapon.
The only real gripe I have is how some attacks aren't telegraphed very well, making damage feel a little unavoidable and the camera has trouble following Hank at times, making it hard to follow the action. Other than that, though, Madness Accelerant is a great Madness game.
